Friends,
Pregnancy is no joke. hahahaha. Especially at my age. Its so hard to eat right when all you want to do is eat. UGH! My inner fattie is rearing her ugly head. But, its always good to have a voice in the back of your head saying, "hey, you got this! We have done this before. We can do it again." I will prevail. Plus, Pinterest is full of keto and paleo recipes that i need to try. Can anyone explain the difference to me? what are the advantages of keto vs paleo? Hit me up!!!!

Blessings all around.
I should definitely be on here more and writing more. For those who do not know, I have PCOS. Luckily, I have met people who have helped me learn how to become a more healthy me. I once heard Bobby Bones say on his morning show that losing weight was 80% what you eat and 20% exercise. And I am a firm believer. If you eat all the crap you want, and exercise until you drop, you are doing yourself no good. My brother and I hardly have anything that we agree upon, however, upon starting my weight loss journey, we figured out that we both are couting our carbs, and protein. So we now have something to talk about without getting mad.
So, when I got pregnant with my little Rosita, I weighed 306. For years I was stuck at 341 and no matter the effort I put in, I could never lose more than 5 or 10 pounds. I starting drinking herbalife shakes and with the help of a wonderful lady, I started counting carbs and protein. This was the major point in watching what i was eating and keeping the weight off. I found you can still eat and feel full. It was not as hard as I thougth it would be. I know what you are thinking. "But I cant drink shakes. I wont get full. I can taste the chalky protein." So not true! The shakes actually helped me curb my sweet tooth because they have concocted so very tasty recipes that are still low carb and good tasting. If you still are not convinced, then I say, learn to count your macros. I am not perfect, and I still slip every now and again, however, the key is to never give up and keep your eye on the prize.
My prize is and always will be my littles. My Mia is now 11 years old and I want to be an inspiration for her to be healthy. My Rosita is now 2 years old and I want to be around to see her grow up. And I am happy to say that at 290 pounds, I am currently 11 weeks pregnant. We are ecstatic. I never knew that I could get pregnant that fast because, as you can see above, there is a span of 9 years in between my girls. I honestly feel that the weight loss has helped to gain control over the PCOS and its effects on my body. Shortly after having my Rosita, I saw an article online that explained how a high protein, low carb diet benefited women who suffered from PCOS. Its a hard thing to deal with, because so many times it causes infertility. But I am here to tell you that it doesnt have to be that way.
I think losing the weight was the best thing I could have done. But, I am not done. After I have the baby, I want to focus on losing more weight. I want to be able to run with my children and enjoy all the years to come.
DONT PUT IT OFF!! GET HEALTHY NOW!
