Now, after all these years, I finally feel like I am making a good effort at getting healthy. What makes me most proud, is that I am making a positive influence on my daughter. She looks up to me in so many ways and I can only say that I hope I will always help her make the best decisions.
Being Healthy is hard. Its not for the faint at heart. You constantly have to make the best choices as far as what you put into your body and what you do with your body. You could be the skinniest person alive and still not be healthy. Nutrition and exercise is pertinent to being the best that you can be. If you constantly put crap into your body, what exactly do you think you will feel like? It will never be easy and once you have begun to make better, healthier choices, you will feel better and healthier. Its a win win situation. You can be around longer to enjoy your family and feel good about yourself. What are you waiting for?

GREAT DISCIPLINE GETS GREAT RESULTS!
Its been awhile since I have blogged. But I am in such a good place. I recently made some new acquaintances and they have been vital in my journey to lose weight. This summer has been rough. I lost my grandfather. And needless to say, it was rough. I had thought long and hard of why I needed to keep going on my journey and how I was going to go about it. I was at a standstill on my weight loss. I was gaining but I wasnt losing either. So with the help of an eager person, I have gotten back on track. I am proud to say that my total weight loss is now up to 30 pounds. I have never felt better. I am also working out and my daughter enjoys working out with me. I feel so content when she sees me working hard to push through a workout especially because I am setting a good example for her. Our eating habits are so much better and I encourage her everyday to eat healthy. She tends to make faces when I sit her down to eat supper packed with green beans or lentils. She has started broadening her horizons with foods that she disliked before. I am amazed at all the wonderful results that I have had. So lets break all this down...I saw the other day on someone's FB page that weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% fitness. But it also requires 100% mentality. You always have to remember why you need to be healthy. Why do you need to be healthy??? My main reason is my daughter and my family. I want to be around to see my daughter graduate from high school, get married, have kids, etc. You also have to be willing to sacrifice with no excuses. Yes, workout takes time. But you need to make time. Every workout, the leaders end with an inspirational quote. Wednesday, the quote said something to me. I dont quite remember who they said was credited for creating it, but it said that food could be the most powerful thing or the most deadly poison that we put in our bodies. How often do you actually sit down and think about what you are putting in your body. Unfortunately, we set examples for our little ones. So if you are poisoning your body, what do you think you are doing to them. Just think about why....Maybe we should think of why not...Why not get up and go workout. Why not be healthy. why not change my eating habits before its too late. Why not set a good example for my child to follow when she gets older and I am no longer there to influence her/him. WHY NOT?
